Sizes, formats, image pool
A pool of images is provided for the creation of the individual web pages. These images may only be used for the university website and purchased images (Fotolia in the name) must indicate a copyright. If you need already cropped images for eye-catchers (carousel) or teasers you will also find them in the image pool.
Images must be appropriately reduced to 96 dpi for the web before uploading to the media folder. Common web formats such as jpg, gif and png can be used. PDF is not an image format and may cause display problems when embedded as an image.
The layout consists of 3 columns. Images used in the left and right columns have a fixed width. In the middle column only the start image has a fixed size.
Left and right column: Teaser (fixed size) 800 x 200 pixels (images are automatically reduced to the appropriate height), Teaser (variable size) 800 x flexible height.
The start image must be in 16:9 format and must be at least 800 x 450 pixels, if the carousel element is used, the added images must be 820 x 340 pixels in size.
Available logos of faculties, institutes, centers, administrative units and studies will be played centrally by the press office and online editorial office of the University of Graz into the new header of the homepage. For this purpose, please send the logos as well as the exact name of the unit to the address webredaktion(at)uni-graz.at. The logos must have a height of 170 pixels to be displayed in the best possible way - please provide them as png or svg.
