Sidebar Default Elements
The Sidebar Default Elements page offers you the possibility to insert frequently used elements once in a central place. This content will be displayed on all pages in the left and/or right column. You will find the Sidebar Default Elements page in the lower area of the page tree.
Functionality: Once you insert an element in the left (or right) column of the Sidebar Default Elements- page, it will appear on each of your sub-pages, unless you create a content element on a sub-page in the left (or right) column. Then the content elements of that page will be displayed and not those of the Sidebar Default page.
If you have adjusted or updated an element in the Sidebar Default Elements page, but it does not appear on all pages, right-click the initial page of your website in the page tree and select Clear subsection cache. If the content is still not displayed, reload the page in the frontend by pressing [ctrl]+[F5].
If your updates are still not displayed, make sure that there are no elements in the left or right column of the pages you want to update. - Then the updated contents of the Sidebar Default Elements page would not be output and may need to be referenced.
If your website is to be translated, don't forget to translate the Sidebar Default Elements page and its content elements, because only then the contents of the left and right columns will be output in the frontend.
